Career Highlights
Ayinde is a true floor general and is an outstanding perimeter shooter.  Ayinde is a rare find since he is a bigger guard at 6’4 and his natural position is the PG, but he also possesses the ability to score at will and can move over to the SG position as well.  Although Ayinde can score with the best of them he is a pass first type of guard.  Ayinde is currently playing with the Antwerp Giants in the Top Division in Belgium.  Ayinde was previously playing for the Frankfurt Skyliners in the Top Division in Germany and was one of the most efficient players on the team, being the glue that held his team together on the floor.  Ayinde is not only playing on the highest level in Belgium but his team is also playing in the ULEB Cup, which is one of the most prestigious international basketball tournaments in the world.  In the summer of 2007 Ayinde played in the NBA Orlando Summer League for the Charlotte Bobcats.  Ayinde also participated in the Lakers and Spurs free agent camps.  Ayinde went undrafted in the 2007 NBA draft and many experts consider him a player who has the skills and size to play in the NBA.   Ayinde is an efficient performer who can play both guard spots and possesses a smooth shooting stroke that will give him the chance to play in the NBA in the near future.

College Highlights
In his senior season at Cal, Ayinde averaged 14 points, 4.3 assists, and 3 rebounds.  As a senior Ayinde ranked fourth in the Pac-10 in assists and led the conference in assist-to-turnover ratio (2.12).  Ayinde matched a career-high with 29 points in a win vs. UCLA in the Pac-10 Tournament semifinals.  He also scored 21 points vs. Marshall on his way to All-Tournament honors at the Great Alaska Shootout.  Ayinde earned First Team All-Pac-10 honors as a junior and was named honorable mention All-Conference as a senior.  Named All-District by the NABC his junior and senior seasons.  Ayinde finished collegiate career as Cal’s 17th all-time leading scorer with 1,194 points.  He also ranked third in three-point field goals made (160), fourth in assists (417) and ninth in free throw percentage (.779).  Ayinde started 100 of 110 career games played.  Ayinde is the first Bear ever to have at least 1,000 points, 100 three-pointers and 300 assists.

Ayinde was the first Parade All-American guard to join the Bears since Jason Kidd in the fall of 1992. As a Junior in 2005-06 Ayinde was one of the most improved players in the country, Ubaka averaged 14.5 ppg after contributing 6.3 ppg in his first two years with the program.

Personal
Ayinde X. Ubaka was born on February 9, 1985 and raised in Oakland, California.  Ayinde is a very down to earth guy who always has a smile on his face, especially when giving back to his community.  Ayinde lists playing golf as an off-the-court hobby and majored in social welfare at Cal.  He is very close with his family and although he lives abroad he makes sure his family comes first.  Ayinde played both quarterback and cornerback on the Oakland High football team his sophomore and senior years.  Ayinde’s parents are Iniabasi and Shaukura Ubaka.  Ayinde’s favorite basketball player is Jason Kidd.
