Chris Rodgers is a big body, quick, athletic, combo guard who can guard and score against the quickest and biggest guards on the court. Rodgers shows nice size for a point guard (6’4) and amazing defensive ability for a point guard. Any time Rodgers’ team needs a stop on the defensive end, Chris is out to take care of the task. Aside from his defensive prowess, Rodgers has the ability to score on absolutely anyone and also does a solid job of distributing the ball to his teammates when open. Rodgers is known as one of the best defensive guards in Europe and can guard any point guard and any wing on the court. Rodgers has a long wing span and has a knack for getting his hands on the ball and has consistently averaged over 2 steals per game in his professional career. Although Chris is known for his defense he has the ability to create his own shot and get to the basket with ease. Because of Rodgers’ strong will to win there is no one who can stop Chris from getting in the lane.
In the summer of 2009 Chris played in the 2009 NBA Las Vegas Summer League with the Phoenix Suns. Rodgers is still considered a strong NBA prospect because he is a big body combo guard who is a defensive specialist. In 2008-09 Rodgers played in the top division in Hungary for Kormend where he averaged 19ppg, 6rpg, 3apg, 3spg, and shot 50% from the field. Rogers was considered one of the top defensive guards in the league (Top 3 in steals per game). In 2007-08 Rodgers played with the Eurocup team Liege in the top division in Belgium. Rodgers averaged 12ppg,, 3rpg, 4apg, 2spg, 46 FG%, and 36 P%. In his first professional season out of college Rodgers played in the NBDL for the Albuquerque Thunderbirds where he had 9ppg , 2rpg, and 2apg. In Rodgers’ senior season at the University of Arizona he was their top defender and averaged 9pg, 2rpg, 2apg, and 2spg. Chris was named the best defensive player on the team by Coach Olson.

Chris Rodgers was born on January 12, 1984 in Portland, Oregon. He obtained his degree in psychology. In his senior season in high school Chris averaged state-best 27ppg, 4rpg, 3apg, and 2spg. Some of Rodgers hobbies are billiards, movies, ping-pong, reading and writing. His favorite basketball player is Steve Kerr.
