Career Highlights
Josh Jenkins is a quick, athletic, and pass first point guard who can guard and score against the quickest guards on the court.  Even though Josh is a smaller guard he can get by any guard on the court and get to the basket to score or find an open teammate for an easy basket.  Josh is a very good ball handler and is crafty with the ball.  He has a knack for making passes to teammates even when the defense is surrounding him.  Josh has a very high basketball IQ and is not concerned with his individual stats but puts winning over everything.  His passes are reminiscent of the “Showtime” days of Magic Johnson; he makes every behind the back and “no look” pass with ease.  Josh has great instincts on the court and knows how to play the game.  Josh is not only a great passer and ball handler, but he can knock down the 3 ball at any time during the game.  Josh is a triple threat because he can either pass the ball to the open teammate, drive to the basket for the easy layup, or he can step back and drain the long range jumper.  Josh has great presence on the court and is a natural floor general.   He leads by example and has tremendous work ethic.

In 2008-09 Josh Jenkins was named to the Honorable Mention All-Big West Basketball Team and led the Big West in assists prior to leaving the team the last 9 games due to a major car accident.  Josh averaged 10.2 points per game (3rd best on the team) and led his team in assists with 6.1 per game.   In two seasons at CSUN he dished out 325 assists which is fourth best in school history.  He collected a career-high 14 assists (one short of the school record) against UC Davis (1/5/09).  In 2007-08 Josh was named to the Honorable Mention All-Big West Team and led the Matadors and all players in the Big West with 6.4 assists per game.  In his junior season he was also ranked #9 in the nation in assists per game.  Prior to going to CSUN Josh went to Frank Phillipps College, where he was an All-American,  leading his team in scoring (19ppg) and three-point field goal percentage (45%).  Josh began his college career at New Mexico State where he averaged 10.1 points per game and led the team with 4 assists per game and three-point field goal percentage (43%).  He earned all-state honors by the California Community College Basketball Coaches Association.
